February 8, 2018 - Dr. Laura Mosqueda and Thomas E. Jackiewicz

“The Future of Medicine at the Keck Medicine of USC Orange County Reception”

Laura Mosqueda, M.D., FAAFP, AGSF – Interim Dean, Keck School of Medicine of USC

Dr. Mosqueda is a professor of Family Medicine and Geriatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California. She also serves as the associate dean of Primary Care and the chair of the Department of Family Medicine. In addition, she is the director of the National Center on Elder Abuse, which focuses on information regarding policy, research, training and resources related to neglect and exploitation of the elderly for policy makers, professional and the public.


Thomas E. Jackiewicz – Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for Keck Medicine of USC

Thomas serves as senior vice president and chief executive officer for Keck Medicine of USC. He is responsible for oversight of the university’s clinical activities, including the renowned USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the first comprehensive cancer centers established in the United States; USC Care Medical Group, the medical faculty practice; Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes two acute care hospitals: 401-licensed bed Keck Hospital of USC and 60-licensed bed USC Norris Cancer Hospital; USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, a 158-licensed bed community hospital; outpatient facilities in Beverly Hills, downtown Los Angeles, La Cañada Flintridge, Pasadena, and the USC University Park Campus; and other clinical practices and joint ventures throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties.

February 21, 2018 - Shane Foley, Former USC Quarterback and PAC-10 Champion

 “Planning your Future and Taking the Risk Out of Retirement”

Shane Foley has worked in the capital markets for over twenty years. A Southern California native, he has roots in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Shane received his BA in Political Science and Communications from USC in 1991 and he later earned his MBA from Pepperdine University. He is currently an Executive Director at Capstone Partners where he works with clients in areas of retirement planning, investment management, insurance, and tax mitigation. He opened his own office in Pasadena early in 2017 but he works with clients throughout the country.

Over the past twenty years, he has built considerable expertise in all aspects of financial services with positions at companies such as Wells Fargo Private Bank, GE Capital, Colliers International, and with his own company Access Capital.

Shane currently serves on the Board of Councilors for the USC Dornsife College of Letter, Arts, and Sciences, the Board of Counselors for USC Athletics, and he is a Board Emeritus for the USC Alumni Association Board of Governors, Trojan Board of Directors, and he also served on Pete Carroll’s Executive Board for A Better LA for eight years. Shane and his wife Farrell also founded their own charity three years ago called Rainy Day Pennies which focuses on kids giving back to other kids in need in the Southern California area.

In 2009, Shane started writing “The Foley Report” because of his love for college football and USC. Initially, he wrote for some friends and clients who were also college football fans. It has since expanded and he has worked doing analyst work for Fox Radio, Yahoo Sports, JT the Brick and has written articles for Rivals and USC Football.com. Shane offers his unique observations and perspective as a former player and student of the game. He is also a frequent speaker in the Trojan community and also in many business forums throughout Southern California.

Recruited out of Newport Harbor High School where he set the record in Orange County for career passing yards upon graduation with over 5,300 yards in two seasons, Shane was recruited to play Quarterback at the University of Southern California. Shane played from 1986-1990 when the Trojans won three consecutive PAC-10 Championships and played in three Rose Bowl games. In 1990, Shane received the ABC Player of the Game vs. Arizona State, Player of the Game vs. Oregon State, USC Offensive Champion Award – for Leadership, Team Commitment, and Dedication, and the John Wayne Memorial Post Graduate Scholarship for the senior with the highest G.P.A.

Shane currently resides in La Canada Flintridge with his wife Farrell and sons Connor, and Quinn.

March 28th, 2018 - Professor Ashish Soni

Ashish is the Founding Director of the Viterbi  Startup Garage, the Viterbi Students Institute for Innovation(VSi2), Executive Director of Digital Innovation,  and Associate Professor of Engineering Practice at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. He also founded and leads the USC Viterbi Startup Garage, the only technology incubator at a top engineering school launched in collaboration with Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers

He teaches courses related to high tech entrepreneurship, user experience design and innovation and recently launched one of the nation’s first educational programs in Digital Entrepreneurship.

April 25th, 2018 - Linda Caducoy

She is also an expert in cross functional and global team management with a background of more than 30 years in areas such as technology, process improvement, organizational management, marketing and sales. The combination of her experiences have helped her gain perspective and compassion for challenges that individuals and teams face.

She has a track record of helping underperforming teams and companies to profitability, as well as guiding those who are already successful to their next level of achievement. Executives have wondered what her secret sauce was in turning around global teams and projects.

She provides truth to the old cliché of win-win that powerfully moves forward the companies and individuals involved. It is her mission to share what she has discovered through her book, speaking engagements, and coaching services with leaders who have the heart to make a difference through their roles.

May 23rd, 2018 - Todd Creager

“How to find Success in Life and in Relationships”

Todd Creager is a marriage and sex therapist who helps couples create loving and passionate long term relationships and helps single people find their soulmate.  He has a talent for helping people become motivated to create new patterns in their lives that lead to more satisfying relationships and experiences.  He is the author of “The Long, Hot Marriage,” a highly endorsed and regarded book for couples and the Amazon best-selling  “Love, Sex and Karaoke- 52 Ways To Ignite Your Love Life.” Also just out are 2 new healing infidelity products: his e-book- The Little Black Book of Infidelity, and “The Infidelity Cure” a total self-help program for couples with 6 videos and a workbook to help couples heal and thrive after infidelity. Lastly, he does a 6-month relationship health and wellbeing program titled “Shedding Toxicity, Welcoming Love.”  He has a private practice in Huntington Beach, CA and has been helping couples and individuals for over 30 years both in person and via Skype and Zoom.

He has been a guest as a relationship expert on many radio and TV shows including the FOX Morning News, KCAL 9 in LA, Playboy Radio, and was a featured therapist on the show “Unfaithful” on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

He has been a keynote speaker and has done hundreds of talks at conferences, meetings of all sorts and professional trainings.  He also trains seasoned therapists as well as beginners in the field of psychotherapy. Lastly, he is a professor at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, helping graduate students learn the theory and practice of becoming professional therapists.
